Bruce Boxleitner (born May 12, 1950) is an American actor and science fiction writer, best known for his roles in the television series *Scarecrow and Mrs. King* (1983–1987) and the *Tron* film series. He has had a long and varied career in television, film, and literature. He developed an interest in acting at an early age and pursued it professionally after studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. After honing his craft on stage, he transitioned to television and film, where he began landing roles in the 1970s. His breakthrough came in the 1980s with the role of Lee Stetson (Scarecrow) in the popular TV series *Scarecrow and Mrs. King*, where he starred alongside Kate Jackson.
